I'm curious with students currently on Christmas break and no Notre Dame Observer coverage, if there has been any official response from Notre Dame officials to the article entitled "'Don't ask, don't tell' has been repealed. ROTC still shouldn't be on campus," written by Washington Post columnist Colman McCarthy. In this article Mr. McCarthy reflects on a 1989 interview that he had with former Notre Dame President Theodore Hesburgh regarding ROTC's presence on collegate campuses. The article, which fails to account for changes to ROTC programs since 1989, does not paint ROTC programs in general, or the ND Army ROTC program specifically, in a good light.
